Transvaginal Ultrasound

A transvaginal ultrasound is an ultrasound imaging technique to see the organs and tissues of the pelvic. A small ultrasound probe called transducer is inserted into the vagina to get a clear image of the uterus and ovaries. This technique is often used to determine if there are polycystic ovaries, a diagnostic criteria for PCOS.
