Cortisol

Cortisol is a hormone that is produced in your adrenal glands. It is also called the “stress hormone”, as it has an impact on the parts of your brain that controls your mood, motivation and fear. It is involved in the metabolism, controls inflammation, blood pressure and blood sugar, and your sleep cycle.
