Hyperlipidemia

Hyperlipidemia is a condition where there are high levels of fats (or also called lipids) in your blood. Hyperlipidemia is sometimes also called “High Cholesterol”, as there is too much Cholesterol in the blood, as well as too high levels of other lipids called triglycerides. High levels of blood lipids can build up in the arteries (blood vessels) and increase the risk for heart disease and stroke. Check in with your healthcare provider and regularly monitor your blood lipid levels.
