Anemia is a condition where there’s a low number of red blood cells, or they have a low concentration of haemoglobin. Red blood cells transport oxygen to cells, and low numbers of them can lead to symptoms such as feeling tired, cold or weak. Anemia can either be temporary or long term, depending on the underlying cause.
