Androgenic alopecia

Androgenic alopecia (also called androgenetic alopecia) is hair loss (alopecia) due to androgens. It is also called “male pattern baldness” or “female pattern baldness”. In women, it can start on the crown of the scalp, but can also show up as diffuse hair loss on all areas of the scalp.
