Acanthosis nigricans

Acanthosis nigricans is a skin condition where dark, velvety patches can be found on the skin, most often in the armpits, neck and groin. The development of acanthosis nigricans typically occurs in people with insulin resistance and obesity. There currently is no specific treatment available.
